New York - September 5, 2012

Got up and headed to Times Square to go to Madam Tussaud's in the morning. Morgan Freeman was waiting for us in the lobby and then we headed up to the Celebrity Party. Lots of stars to pose with there! There was a musical history section, a Bollywood section, a history of New York section and at the very end and Avengers section! So much fun!

A big thank you to my family and friends for supporting my acting career!

Next we did some souvanir shopping before going to the Marriot hotel for some lunch. Holy hell was food expensive in there though! My chicken wrap was $10!

Then we went and saw Evita! Ricky Martin played the narrator and did a fabulous job. Evita was played by an Argentinian woman with a very low vocal range. Although she definitely gave the show authenticity and flare it was sometimes difficult to understand her. I really enjoyed Another Suitcase, Another Hall though. The actress there did an amazing job.

After Evita we took the train up to Harlem to meet Melissa and Mike! They took us to a restaurant called Sylvia's which services soul food. Brandi and I both got smothered chicken and waffles. It was actually really delicious! Sweet and salty all at once.

So good!

After dinner we went to Amateur night at the Apollo! What fun that was! A comedian was the MC and there was a little kids section where a little boy who could pop-lock like nobody's business won.

Next there were 10 performances. The majority were female vocals but there was also a juggler, a Michael Jackson impersonator, a drumming group and a violinist. In the end there were three groups that I really liked and all three won! The violinist, the juggler and a really charismatic female vocalist who could play the guitar. Very awesome night. I really recommend it to anyone heading to New York.

Marisela - amazing female vocalist.
Michael Karas - Juggler
D Sharp - Violinist. Definitely check out his videos. He's just amazing.
