The Empire State Building
We took tons of photos with the skyline before heading back down. On the way down I noticed a store was having a going-out-of-business sale so we went to look and found out it was jewelry store. The salesman, Charles, came out to chat and we must have talked for at least half an hour. He was super chatty! I ended up buying a couple of really sweet little silver pendants.
Next we caught the train to Central Park and walked all around. We saw the carrousel and the Alice in Wonderland statue. We also saw the boat house and got a quick bite to eat.
It's a huge statue, I love it.
Nearly killed myself for this one. Tripped on my purse strap when I dropped it to run onto the bridge! XD
Found our way to the Metropolitan Museum and spent a good two hours wandering around looking at whatever caught our fancy. It's a huge museum and we only saw probably a quarter or less of what was there.
I don't know what this is...but it's oceanic!
Heading back out to Central Park we saw Belvedere castle, the turtle pond and the Shakespeare Theater before making our way to Strawberry Fields.
Another beautiful pond.
After seeing Strawberry Fields we caught the train to SoHo. Mike and Melissa met us there and took us to Lombardi's, the first pizza joint in the USA. It was super delicious!
Then we went deeper into SoHo to participate in Fashion Night Out. It's the start of Fashion Week where all the major stores hold sales and fun events with celebrities and DJs. We went to a soap place and got cupcakes and candy before moving on. I got a little flower for my hair from another shop.
We met up with two of Mel's friends from Culinary School and went to the famous loose leaf tea place I'd heard about. Alas they were giving away shoes with a DJ playing. No one seemed interested in selling tea... XD
We went back out onto the street but it was just crazy out there! I even managed to get myself lost in the crowd and had to stand next to an Aritzia Shoes until they found me again. XD They figured I'd do one of two things. 1) look for a Starbucks to get WiFi so I could text them. Or 2) go back to the hotel. So they headed for the nearest Starbucks and happened to find me! XD It was hilarious watching them emerge from the crowd and scream "Carrie!"

Giving up on Fashion Night Out we went to a bar called The Skinny for drinks and chatting before we all headed home to bed.
